“ Went last Friday for lunch, a very hot day, to this little Mexican place in Hammonton. Taco menu is a la carte. I had 3, my wife had 1. We both liked our choices. Selections were well prepared with fresh ingredients. Staff welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Dining area was clean as was bathroom. Decor was colorful, you definitely know you're in a Mexican restaurant, but not overwhelming. Music was thematic but kind of loud. Staff turned it down when I asked, so my wife and I could talk. LCT is definitely worth a visit as it checks all the boxes for an authentic taqueria with reasonable prices. Unfortunately this place is 40" from where I live, which is lacking in choices for good authentic Mexican food. And Hammonton seems to have a bunch of them, so I'm not sure when we'll eat at LCT again. But, it's a great place to start. ”

“ Una joyita local! In a small town comprised of 50% Italian, 50% Mexican restaurants, this new little joint has undoubtedly earned a spot in the rotation. The atmosphere is a beautiful recreation of la casa de abuelita, such a homey authentic feel. We are avid taco indulgers and make an effort to try each variation possible. Los tipos auténticos: bistec, carnitas, al pastor- increíbles. However my third visit is when I finally discovered the brisket which was bursting with flavor and all prepared with the freshest simple ingredients. Even the salsa verde served in the condiment tube is to die for. Una experiencia riquísima -- nos vemos pronto! ”

“ Wow!! I just found one of my go-to Mexican restaurants! A couple weeks back I was at a local bar with a few friends. We were talking about good, authentic Mexican restaurants around. The bartender overheard our conversation and emphatically directed us to La Carreta. Hammonton already has some of the best options for authentic Mexican food and now this one is right at or near the top of the list. The location is great. It's connected to Vinyl Brewing so you can get your food to go and enjoy a beer next door (like I did), however the inside is very cute and welcoming. I love the decorations and the furniture is beautifully finished wood. They also have a few tables outside for dining on nice days. The staff was very nice, apologetic (even though they didn't need to be), and accommodating. I like how the menu is set up as it's very easy to follow. Now for the most important part: the food. Everything we ordered was incredible. Carnitas tacos, chicken burrito, Alambres, and el Toxico torta. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and made to order. The tacos are a La carte so you can order as many or as little as you'd like, and you can mix and match (for now at least)! The carnitas were tender and the tacos had raw and grilled onions. The portion sizes on the burrito, Alambres, and torta were huge and the price was more than reasonable. The Alambres was grilled steak, cheese, onions, and peppers and came with 5 homemade tortillas and rice. The burrito had a very nice sear on the outside giving the tortilla a great crisp. The torta (which I ordered) was great. Grilled ham, breaded steak, chicken, egg, avocado, onion, and tomato. There were so many things I wanted to try on the menu, but I knew that had to be my first order. I wasn't disappointed by any means and now I'm going to have to come back soon to try many more menu items. ”
